Cookies are intended to make our services more user friendly, more effective, and more secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and which your browser saves.

The majority of the cookies that we use are “session cookies”. They are automatically erased after your visit has ended. Other cookies remain saved on your terminal device until you erase them. The cookies allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about cookies being set, so that cookies are only allowed in individual cases, cookies are only accepted for certain cases, or are generally prevented. You can also set it so that cookies are automatically erased when you close your browser. When deactivating cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Cookies that are required for performing the electronic communication process or for the provision of certain functions desired by you (e.g. shopping cart function) are stored based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website owner has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies in order to ensure the provision of its services is technically error free and optimized. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysis of your browsing behavior) are saved, they will be dealt with separately in this data protection declaration.

Server log files

The provider of the website collects and automatically stores information in “server log files” that your browser automatically transfers to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

Contact form

If you send us inquiries using the contact form, we will save your information from the inquiry form, including the contact details specified by you there, for the purpose of processing the inquiry and for the event of follow-up questions. We will not disclose this data without your consent.

Data entered in the contact form will therefore only be processed based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time. Informal communication to us via e-mail is sufficient for this purpose. The legality of the data processing processes that occurred up to the point of withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

We will store the data entered by you in the contact form until you request that we erase it, you withdraw your consent for storage, or the purpose for the data storage ceases to apply (e.g. after processing of your inquiry is completed). Mandatory legal regulations – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

5. Newsletter

If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that will allow us to check that you are the owner of the e-mail address specified and consent to receipt of the newsletter. Further data will not be collected or will only be collected on a voluntary basis. We will only use this data in order to send the requested information and will not disclose this data to third parties.

The data entered in the newsletter registration form will only be processed based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). The consent granted for storage of the data, the e-mail address, and its use for sending the newsletter can be withdrawn at any time, for example using the “Deregister” link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing processes that have already occurred remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

The data from you we have stored for the purpose of sending the newsletter will remain stored until you are deregistered from the newsletter and will be erased after cancellation of the subscription to the newsletter. Data that we have saved for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the employee area) remains unaffected by this.

Rapidmail

This website uses Rapidmail to send newsletters. The provider is rapidmail GmbH, Augustinerplatz 2, 79098 Freiburg i.Br., Germany.

Rapidmail is a service that can be used to organize and analyze the sending of newsletters, among other things. The data entered by you for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be saved on the servers of Rapidmail in Germany.

If you do not want Rapidmail to perform any analysis, you have to cancel your subscription to the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in each newsletter message. Furthermore, you can also cancel your subscription to the newsletter directly on the website.

Data analysis by Rapidmail

The e-mails sent with Rapidmail contain a “tracking pixel” that connects to the Rapidmail servers when the e-mail is opened for the purpose of analysis. In this manner, it can be determined whether a newsletter message has been opened.

Furthermore, we can determine whether and which links are clicked on in the newsletter message with the help of Rapidmail. All links in the e-mail are “tracking links” that can be used to count your clicks.

You can find further information on the analysis functions of Rapidmail at the following link: https://de.rapidmail.wiki/kategorien/statistiken/.

Legal basis

Data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time. The legality of the data processing processes that occurred up to the point of withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.

Duration of storage

The data we have stored for the purpose of sending the newsletter will remain stored until you are deregistered from the newsletter and be erased from our servers and from Rapidmail’s servers after cancellation of the subscription to the newsletter. Data that we have saved for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the employee area) remain unaffected by this.

You can find further information in the data security information from Rapidmail at: https://www.rapidmail.de/datensicherheit.

Conclusion of a contract concerning order data processing

We have concluded a contract with Rapidmail in which we oblige Rapidmail to protect our customers’ data and not to disclose it to third parties. This contract can be viewed at the following link: https://de.rapidmail.wiki/files/adv/muster-auftragsdatenverarbeitung.pdf.
